Some friends recently opened a yoga-for-kids business and I jumped at the chance to be their guinea pig. I love my weekly yoga and it felt fitting as I often find my 8-year-old Courtney practicing poses she's seen in a yoga for kids book someone gave us. With seven friends, we laid the mats out in a circle outside and got our Om on. With forty-five minutes of dolphin, mountain and shark poses, we moved on to the henna tattoo station with some photos so girls could make their own designs and Mandala circles for coloring. Dinner was Cheese Nan and Mango Milkshakes to give it the Indian flair. Little umbrellas instantly dress up a drink and my favorite quote was "These are Mangolicious!" Every plate was empty. For the cake I showed our local bakery the invitation and said "run with it." I got a call right after the party from a mom saying her daughter had her dad (business suit and all) in downward dog out in the backyard. One of my favorite parties to date, here's all you need to throw one of your own. Namaste!
