June is Kids' Summer Activities Month here at tada! shop. To kick it off, we asked Tracey Stewart, the creator of Moomah, an arts-and-crafts paradise in NYC to talk about how she brings creativity into her home. Her suggestions are simple whether its introducing different textures to the right pencils for the little hands to adding a little background music, its about an environment with freedom to create. "My heart really goes out to mothers. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to do it all and do it to perfection. I found myself putting a lot of pressure on myself to fill my children’s days with all sorts of activities. It finally dawned on me that all this activity was a search to connect with my kids and maybe that was simpler than I realized. Our best moments always seemed borne of slowing down, of interaction, of noticing them. I turned an area of our apartment in to an art oasis. It’s our special spot to create together. They tell me all about their worlds as we sit there working on their latest masterpiece.” SHOP TRACEY'S PICKS >
