Irene Hoofs, Bloesem Kids

After roaming the globe, Irene Hoofs, her husband and two young sons settled down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Irene is the author of design blogs loved by all, Bloesem and BKids. As she writes from her home office overlooking a bamboo garden, she aspires to bring outside-the-mainstream daily finds to her readers. And, she does so astonishingly well with a worldly view yet an eye as current in Brooklyn as in Amsterdam. She loves to combine basic colors and materials with a designer piece from Plastisock, Imps & Elfs and Bobo Choses to name a few. (A proclaimed slight bias for Dutch design.) She seeks out screen-printed shirts from smaller independent labels, like Bookhou Kids and KLTworks. Irene raves about life in Malaysia and how welcoming they are to children. One added bonus is living in a warm country means shopping for clothes is easier, only shorts, shirts and shoes will do. Don't miss her picks for boys, girls and babies. SHOP IRENE'S PICKS >
