I sometimes feel fall is like the first act to a much anticipated lively holiday play. While our schedule is not crazy-busy, seasonal gatherings and events begin filling up the calendar. In our house, this means new outfits are in order. Whether looking for a dress for a Sunday brunch, playdate, or dinner party, my inspiration comes from colors found in fall foliage. Think warm shades of green and brown, as well as a dark rose that you find on some Japanese Maple trees. For me, styles that my daughter can easily transform from daytime to evening, with a quick change of sneakers to ballet flats, are a plus. This season, lovely floral and leaf print dresses are aplenty and always add a bit of fun and texture to a look. Speaking of texture, Polarn O Pyret’s tartan dress, with its ruffle detail, is a must for this season. Finally, I love that Pantone’s fall fashion color report put bold blues and grays back into the fall mix. An exciting season of color awaits! SHOP ALL GIRLS DRESSES >
